My journey with SodHoppers started at the Saturday Market in Eugene Oregon after I had apprenticed with Richard Heinel for two years out of Noti, Oregon. After a year of doing both the Eugene and Portland Saturday Markets my wife and I started traveling to shows across the country, and moved to Pine, Arizona. Our first grandchild came along so it was back to Oregon, this time to Winston for 17 years. We have since followed the grandchildren and now make our home in McMinnville Oregon.

After several years of being on the road most weekends, traveling throughout the Western states of Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming and as far East as Branson Missouri. In 1993 I created the first website for online ordering of this style of moccasins, stopped traveling and going to shows and have been running my business online since, with occasinional drop in’s.

During these years I have been approached by Holywood, Paramount and Vogue Magazine, have entertained Flip Wilson, and have made moccasins for John Lithgow and Tommy Lee, as well as people from every walk of life… from professionals to performers to special needs individuals, actors, musicians, hunters, outdoorsmen, children, for costume, work, exercise and play.

I am very grateful for each order. I continue to strive to make each customer feel that their specific desires and needs are being addressed and that special care is given in making each individual pair of moccasins. I enjoy what I get to do for a living, but I couldn’t do it without you. Thank you!
